QUIZ

Quiz is a great fun loving dog to own. I once described him as been everything between fabulous and frustrating and taking me every place between heaven and hell, i stand by this description! He is probably my dog of a lifetime and i will be forever grateful to him for teaching me what dogs are really about............... great levellers

In March 1999 from a photograph advertising border collie puppies i chose a little white enquiring face. After a bit of persuasion the three week old baby Quiz was reserved for me and a month or so later home came Quiz.

To say Quiz has an appetite to learn is a bit of an understatement, he just loves learning new things. He won his first obedience classes at 12months of age. At just over 2yrs we had tried our hand at workings trials where on his first attempt he qualified for the first stake CDex which is companion dog excellence. The same year he started training for the sport of Heelwork to Music (HWTM). His first routine was given as a demonstration at Crufts 2002 with my daughter Jessica, then just 9yrs old, to Kylie Minogue and The Locomotion. It turned out to be quite a crowd pleaser. They were completely unperturbed when the BBC were taking film of the routine.

Meanwhile his obedience class wins were still coming and he finally qualified to work Championship Class C in the summer of the same year. Eventually in May 2004 he won a ticket entitling him to take his place at Crufts 2005. It was a really memorable occasion and something that we both thoroughly enjoyed.
